On September 7th, the St Kate's ASL Club is hosting an evening of storytelling with Patrick Graybill, the Deaf actor, poet, and storyteller.  The event takes place on the College of St. Catherine's campus in the Jeanne d' Arc auditorium, and is $5 for non-St Kate's students.  Please come if you're in the area!  Flyer under the cut.

I keep writing in ASL. I'm writing philosophy journals right now, merrily typing away, and realized that my entire sentence doens't make sense, becuase the word order is all ASL. And I can't figure out how to say it in English. This is happening more and more lately.

It's a beautiful day, and I'm sitting inside staring at my vocabulary words for text analysis.  I did just go out (to pick up a carpet cleaner with a friend, no less!), but it's so nice and I reeeeally don't want to do homework.  Especially after I realized taht I actually have more than I thought I did.  Oops.  Good thing there are no gen bio labs ( Read more... )
