When I want to say something about someone or particularly about my relationship with someone, I have a habit of hiding it where they can't go and where no one who knows them can go so I can speak freely. After a while, though, there aren't any more good hiding places, and I'm left once again with something I'd like to say but have no one to say it to.
Should I be less timid? Perhaps. But there are certain things that need to be said to third parties.
