Visitors!! Not the alien kind... (part deux)

For Thanksgiving, Sam came up to visit me and that was fantastic too.  She came up on Wednesday and we got in, had some Chinese food and then went shopping for Thanksgiving.  After we came home, we packed away the stuff and then watched Love Actually which i'd never seen but i loved/hated immensely.  I love Bill Nighy and Thomas Sangster.  I've loved Nighy since Underworld and Shawn of the Dead and i feel like he's always been old.  He's timeless as an old person.  He never ages.  I've had "love is all around" stuck in my head for weeks.  It cracked me up.  I really love Sangster because he was phenomenal in Nanny McPhee  and because of Phineas and Ferb.  They were so fantastic in this film.  I also really enjoyed Liam Neeson.  Oh, and of course Alan Rickman.  I thought it was hilarious that Snape and Trelawney were married!  I couldn't remember their names so they were Snape and Trelawney the whole movie.  They had a really fun relationship as a couple.

Thanksgiving day we got up at about 11 and i started cooking.  While doing the potatoes, sam and i got into this discussion about how ugly potatoes were.  They're really not attractive.  Oh, and organic potatoes suck.  I was going to do the potatoes with skins but we had to skin them after we saw how many bad parts there were.  I made roast chicken, mashed potatoes, stuffing, macaroni and cheese, green beans, corn, rice krispie treats, and Sam made rolls.  Unfortunately, Sam didn't feel well all day so she didn't get to pig out =(.  She did eat a little though.  My roommate Daniel's original plans were to go new york but those plans fell through and when he told me that, i felt bad so i told him verbatim "well...my friend Sam is coming in and we're having thanksgiving dinner.  You can come...but you have to bring an ice cream cake."  So that morning, before we started cooking, Sam looked in the freezer because i told her this story and she was like, "there's ice cream cake!!"  So we had that for dessert too.  It was really good.  We had "dinner" at about 3 and ate our dessert while watching 300.  Not exactly a thanksgiving movie, but it worked.  After that, Sam and i went to my room and we watched Stand By Me which is SUCH a good movie.  I love little fat Jerry O'Connell and i've always loved Wil Wheaton.  Wheaton was GREAT in that movie.  River Phoenix was so amazing.  It was an all around great movie.  I can't actually remember what we did after that.  i think i cleaned up and that was that day..

Friday we woke up at about 11 again and went to the aquarium and then i took her to government center and we took pictures by the giant christmas tree and got food.  I got a gyro that was awesome and Sam got a bagel and we ate by the harbor.  Then we went to the prudential center and looked around.  We spent a few hours in B&N reading.  We went home to eat and watched Jennifer's Body which wasn't that terrible.  There were some amazingly awkward parts but there were some awesome parts too.  It was pretty creepy (good, scary creepy) at some parts.

Saturday we got up pretty early, like 10, and went to Copley and looked around Anthropologie after we went to the candy store.  Then i took her to the gardens for the ducks and roses.  Then we went up to government center to get sam a soft pretzel because she's wanted one since the day before then i took her to the airport.

It was a pretty great weekend that could have only been made better if that stomach bug hadn't attacked Sam.
