How can anybody be bored in this town?
Even though the semester is winding down, I'm still nowhere near finished with things. Thankfully, I'm quite happy with my research paper for American Literature, despite some typos in it that didn't fixed before it was submitted. It was a labor, but it was a labor of love. I just didn't have as much time to work on it as I would've liked. The title of the paper is Disney Princesses as Belles Gone Bad, Females Based on Scarlett O'Hara.
I also easily finished my rough draft of my research paper for British Literature. I don't currently have a title for that paper. I know I need a title. It is about how John Dryden make London a Christ Figure in his poem Annus Mirabilis.
Of course, there are still readings to do because I'm going to school to get my masters in English, but I've been taking pre-requisites. I need to revise a paper that I wrote last semester and turn it in to the graduate school so they can determine if I'm actually ready for graduate work. I pray that it will work that way.
I've wanted to revise my paper on the rabbit as a trickster figure as it is, so that's a good thing.
However, I need to find where the copy is (I think I know). I also need to find my composition book where I was recording my finances. I know I have my general finances in my bank account, but I always have things that are different because of being an independent contractor in all my work, so what is in my bank account isn't what I can spend.
I found out that Craig Ferguson is leaving The Late Late Show in December. The news said he'll be making the announcement on tonight's show.
I know that I'm skipping around in this entry. I 'll need to look up some more scholarly articles for my rabbit as trickster paper. Thankfully, I can use the school's database at home as long as I log into the site. Then, I'm also thankful for Google Scholar. I'm not sure if I can specify peer reviewed articles on that, though. I've not taken a look. However, I can find articles on it that I don't always find on the school databases with the same keywords. I'll then search the title on the school databases.
I'm still quite busy with all the arts and such in Lake Charles! I hate when people say that there's nothing to do in this town. Some of the things are free and most are much cheaper than doing those things elsewhere. Then, there's the fact that it doesn't have the cost of traveling out of town.
