After my long weeks (months?) of immersing myself in slash fics I have reached a point where I simply have to stop or RL will just collapse around me. I dread meeting my prof and confessing to utter idleness. How that will go down with him, I don't even want to imagine...

However, I am not going to leave the slash fic universe without some ( general reflections on slash, OTPs, fandoms, and slash writers )

Now that I found Speranza again and even her lj acount as cesperanza I couldn't help but look for resonant8 and others too.

I found Kat Allison with, amongst others, her long epic "The End of the Road" which I vaguely remember reading. Must have been at least two years ago.

I really, really, really should not forget how totally awe-inspiring Speranza's writing is. Absolutely superior. A+++. All of it.

Oh Speranza! I forgot how utterly heartbreaking and extraordinarily beautiful your dS stories are. I am rereading the whole lot for the third time after a break of about a year. Hours upon hours upon hours of total bliss. Of uncontrollable tears. Of pulse-pounding excitement. Of sweet soulful meltdown.

madlori has finished her BBM epic Human Interest. A very satisfying end to this drawn-out story, although I feel that the narrative has drifted a long way from the core of Annie Proulx's short story.
