The part we ordered, the magical little card that will hopefully fix our inventory and register system, did not arrive today. It's the little things in life that bring me joy, like lowering the unread e-mails in my work inbox little by little every day. I hope to get down to the single digit range by Thanksgiving.

My phone has slowly been breaking down for a long time.  It's an iPhone 4, a technology so old and abandoned by app developers that I might as well go back to hacking out messages on stone tablets.  Apps like Gmail, Uber, Starbucks, and Facebook all crash or refuse to load, while multiple Disney-themed apps that I'd like to use aren't even ( Read more... )

So the bookstore has been puttering along quite nicely.  It's been rather quiet the last few months, as the pre-Christmas frenzy settled into a post-holiday lull.  While the slow transactions aren't good for the financial end of the business, the down time has given me a chance to work on some of the big projects I wanted to implement ( Read more... )
