Tonight in my Spanish class we had a midterm review.  The actual exam will be next week, which the instructor mentioned multiple times at the start of class.  It's a three hour class, and we're more than halfway through.  My teacher has been going through each chapter lesson by lesson.   Even if you were late to class, it's obvious that we won't be ( Read more... )

Front Gate Guard: Well, have a good night!
Me: You too! I'll see you tomorrow!
Guard: TU MADRE!
Me: ...wait, what?
Guard: Spanish for "tomorrow"?
Me: Nope. You just said "YOUR MOM"!
Guard: Dang it! I was just tryin' to be cool...

My Spanish class makes me so nervous that I'm practically hyperventilating before I go. I know that part of it is my own fault - I don't study enough for the class. I don't practice every day, as I should. We have an exam today. I'm a little freaked out.

I want to drop this class so much, but the drop date has passed, so I'm stuck. ARGH.

I dropped the Spanish class. The more I thought about it, the more trouble it seemed. I mean, I can't carry on a conversation with my classmates, and the teacher says that an hour of each class meeting is going to be practicing our speech?
