When I was in elementary school - either second or third grade, I can't remember which - I had a teacher who liked to sing little songs about the everyday events in the life of a child.  The one song that I specifically remember was the New Shoes song, and it went something like this:

Over Memorial Day weekend, Converse.com had a sale that let you take an additional 20% all discounted shoes.  Or something like that.  I don't remember the actual promotion, only that Converse hi-tops were cheap and I had to buy some.  So I bought four pairs of shoes.  I think that's officially the most decadent purchase I've made in months, maybe ( Read more... )
