...I need to acquire some kitty valium. She ran down around 1:30am last night, and was back up at 5:30, 6:10, and 7:15 this morning.

I was NOT amused. Latest trick? Getting into the fireplace and rattling the screen.

Fuu has decided that my bamboo plants are tasty, and despite my efforts to dissuade her from eating/killing them, she's managed to eat one stalk entirely (as near as I can tell -- it's utterly gone) and knock both plants from their perch. Apparently *something* is giving Fuu gas. This morning I was greeted by some particularly foul kitty-farts.

I realize I was gone all day and didn't return until late. I am sorry, I'm a bad, neglectful daddy.

So the little brat has figured out she can jump up onto the mantelpiece (about 4 feet up). At about 530am. Shortly after that, she discovered that daddy will catch her and make her very aware of the consequences of being up on the mantelpiece.

Sigh. Kittens. I do hope we learn our lessons quickly.

So Fuu's been a bad little girl. She has a very powerful hunting instinct, and I can't leave her alone in my bedroom because she tries to get out the window -- or at least *look* out the window, which involves scrambling around in my rats-nest of computer and a/v wiring, knocking over my modem, etc ( Read more... )
