Here we go...

I think we're just over half way through World Cup 2018 (based on number of games anyway) and I've really enjoyed it so far! Some of the smaller teams have performed a bit better than expected and some of the big boys haven't been as impressive as expected which has made for interesting viewing during some of the games!

I thought the Spain/Portugal game was pretty unbelievable and I've enjoyed all the other games! The Germany game was intense the other night - it looked like they were on their way out but you can never write off the Germans! They always turn it on when it counts. The last ten minutes of so of that game were so stressful - I needed a lie down afterwards!

There's been loads of penalties, quite a lot of last minute goals and a few own goals thrown in for good measure! I hope the fun continues as the tournament heads towards the knock out stages!

Engand are through to the last sixteen!! I know they've only played Tunisia and Panama so far but they're through with a game to spare which is progress when compared to the last World Cup (by this stage they were already out so). I'm pleased to see Harry Kane getting some goals but I was disappointed when Dele got injured in the first game. Thankfully it doesn't appear to be anything too serious so I hope he'll be okay for the Belgium game (he definitely seemed up for it in the first twenty minutes or so of the Tunisia game so hopefully he can show everyone what he is capable soon). I'm trying not to get too excited. I'm just planning on just enjoying the next two games. We'll see what happens after that.

Pleased to see Denmark through too (although the less said about todays 0-0 draw between them and France the better. Yawn!) as Christian Eriksen is my boy!

Poland were rubbish though! And I'm glad Panama are out (and got hammered by England - 6-1! WHAT?!) - I didn't like them at all.
