Fantastic Foxes

It's been over a week since my last post and I have no excuses. I just haven't felt like it I guess. I'm here now and have watched a lot of shows in that time. I also watched Leicester City win the premier league which was pretty awesome! I think it's great for the game that a so called underdog has won it. Well done to them.

Since my last post I've watched two episodes of "Stitchers" - 2x06 and 2x07 - I think this season has found it's feet now and I'm really enjoying it. The ongoing storyline is pretty interesting and the cases of the week are good too. I wonder what we might find out between now and the end of the season. And is Cameron gonna realise he loves Kirsten too much to be with his new girlfriend?

I also watched:

"Hawaii Five-0" - 6x22 - I thought the case of this week was a really good one and I really enjoyed it and the team working together (I really miss it when they're separated). I could have done without the Kamekona on his boat storyline though as it just took time away from the main case and, to be honest, it was kinda pointless. Everything else about the episode worked for me though and I thought it was a good one.

"Quantico" - 1x20 - is the reveal about who the bad guy is for real or are we being faked now? Maybe the real bad guy is making Alex believe it's him? Or something? I think this show has really picked up over the past few weeks and makes me think that maybe we might get some answers before the end of this season (I did have my worries a few episodes ago).

On Monday night I also watched "Bones" - 11x13 - which I thought was a good episode. The tone seemed darker than usual and I think that really worked. The fact that they haven't caught the bad guy yet makes me think that we haven't seen the last of them. Is the next episode gonna pick up from where that left off? Still loving Aubrey. They need to give him more to do.

And: "Criminal Minds" - 11x19 - while I thought it was good to see Prentiss again I didn't think the episode itself was that special. I'm glad she managed to catch the bad guy though and the later scenes in this episode were good.

Then onto Tuesday night (and with a lot of my shows already finished it's looking a bit sparce these days): "Blindspot" - 1x20 - I thought this episode was pretty good. I liked Patterson again in this episode and I think she might be gradually becoming my favourite character (I do like the clothes that Jane wears though) and I liked the way she saved the kid and that dude. That worked for me. After a few boring episodes a while ago things seem to have picked up a bit. I wonder what the finale might bring?

"Castle" -  8x20 - I thought this episode was okay (although not as good as the previous one). I'm still holding out for something more Esposito and Ryan centric. I did like the stuff about the pre-school play though - that was cute.

Then Wednesday night: "Containment" - 1x03 - I'm enjoying this show and there's definitely enough here to keep me interested. It seems like they're gonna be exploring the character and their situations as well as the disease drama which I think will work really well. Still interested in what Jake's deal is. He also has great chemistry with the teacher woman (name?). I wonder if that might go anywhere in the future?

"The Flash" - 2x20 - Well, shit, what's happened to Barry? I thought this was a good episode again. I liked the Zoom stuff - it's weird how his character is completely different now we know who he really is. I thought it was interesting when Barry's Dad mentioned that Garrick is his mother's maiden name. I wonder if that's gonna mean anything? I enjoyed Cisco again this week and the scenes between him and his brother were really good. I wonder if they can try and become closer now? And Iris opening up to Barry was quite sweet - kind of out of nowhere (for Barry too, think) but it kinda worked. I did want her to kiss him goodbye before he went into that accelorator though so that was a bit disappointing. Oh and how is exposure to the explosion (or whatever) gonna effect Wally and Jamie? This show continues to be good. I wonder what they have in store for us over the few remaining episodes?

Then Thursday: "Arrow" - 4x20 - I thought this episode was quite good and I hope Oliver can figure out how to defeat Darhk (as I'm a little bit bored of him these days). I thought the stuff with Diggle was quite good - I'm glad we got some fallout to what his brother did and I hope he doesn't feel too guilty about how it all ended. His brother was never gonna stop so it couldn't really end any other way. Besides he's not really his brother anymore, is he? I thought he should have handed him over to Lance though (after telling him that he's responsible for Laurel). I thought the Thea stuff was interesting - I guess we should know that them taking a weekend off was never gonna end well. What did Alex do? Is he working for them now or is he just under their control and doesn't know about it?

"Supernatural" - 11x20 - I thought this episode was a good one. Probably the best "ongoing story" episode they've done all season (the other ones haven't worked for me at all but this was almost like the good old days). It was nice see Chuck again - I had no idea he was even gonna reappear this season. Now he's involved can Amara be stopped? I hope so, and soon. I kinda want to see the end of this storyline as I don't think it's worked that well (they get rid of Crowley and Rowena while they're at it).

"Person of Interest" - 5x01 - with it being almost a year since this show was last on I was expecting an extensive "previously on..." at the beginning of this episode. We didn't get one so, as such, I had no idea what the hell was going on (I hardly ever do on this show, to be honest, but a recap would have been really helpful). This episode was okay but I didn't really get it.

Then last night I actually went out (I didn't really feel like it though - I think these days I much prefer staying in and watching TV instead of going out and being with actual people). We headed to the Union Chapel for David Duchovny's only London tour date.

I had listened to about half of one of his songs before heading to this! At first it was a bit weird and almost funny because I just kept thinking "look, Mulder's singing. Hehe!" but I got past that after the first few songs and ended up enjoying it way more than I expected to. I didn't expect him to be bad really, I just didn't know what to expect! His songs were good and his performances were also good - he rocked the place during some songs and mellowed it during others. The crowd were very into it as well which always helps.

His persona came across really well during some of the song intro's too and that worked really well. His band were also good and one of them was the support act - he was very cute, and very talented.
