So, earlier this week McFly announced a new tour! They boys are back, baby! But with their Anthology Tour at four small venues across the UK they were always gonna be hard to get hold off. I tried the O2 priority pre-sale on Wednesday but tickets were already gone by the time I got home from work, and yesterday I tried the Live Nation pre-sale and, once again, sold out by the time I got home. This morning the general sale started and I tried on the Ticketmaster phone app at bang on 9am (when I'd just arrived at work) and they were all gone already! Dave, also tried on his computer at home and was having the same luck. I was pretty resigned to the fact that we weren't gonna see them this tour (which sounds to me like it could be a farewell tour) and I was pretty gutted, but once I'd finished work I checked my phone and Dave had texted me saying that he found some on the website Get Me In from a reseller for double the asking price! I personally don't think I would have paid a reseller but I am glad that we're are gonna get to see them this tour! We got the 3rd of the London nights - which I think is the final night of the tour (unless they announce some more which wouldn't surprise me). I haven't missed a McFly tour since 2005 and I didn't want to start with this one!
I just don't understand how these resellers manage to get them in the first place when they seemed to go so quickly. Some of them are asking for crazy money! It shouldn't be allowed.
In other news: I've watched a quite a few shows since my last post:
"Hawaii Five-0" - 6x21 - I thought this episode was quite a good one, storyline wise it worked quite well and I'm glad we got the team working together because it seems like a while since that's happened. I did like how Danny was in regard to Adam though - he might have seemed a bit harsh but someone had to be thinking about the possibility of Adam doing a runner because no-one else was going to. Given Adam's history it would be silly to trust that with no question and, at the end of the day, Danny was just doing his job by thinking of all possibilities. Obviously he was wrong and Adam was one of the good guys all the along but I definitely think it was good that someone was thinking about it.
"Chicago Med" - 1x05 - not bad. Quite enjoying this show.
"Quantico" - 1x19 - Another decent episode. Things seem to have picked up over the past few episodes. I wonder if we'll actually find anything out before the end of the season?
"Criminal Minds" - 11x18 - I thought this episode was pretty good but the Derek stuff seems really rushed - especially with the marriage and then the baby being born in the space of a few episodes. I really don't think that time jump worked. Sad to see Morgan go though and the scene between him and Reid at the end made me cry.
"Bones" - 11x12 - Hodgins is being horrible to everyone at he moment which is understandable. And I can't help but feel like Angela deserves most of the time he snaps at her. First of all she talks about him to the others like he isn't there and when he says he doesn't want to discuss things with her right now she pushes it until he really shouts at her. I just don't think she's helping. Or maybe I'm being blinded by my irrational dislike for her? Anyway, I hope we get the old Hodgins back, personality wise, but I think he's right. Things have changed forever now and he might not ever be the same again.
"Blindspot" - 1x19 - I enjoyed this episode. I thought the way they told the story was really good and I liked seeing what everyone was doing when separated from the others, I thought that worked really well. The case of the week was quite a good one too. I now think that Jane is putting her trust in the wrong person with that guy. I wonder how things are gonna go from here though? I think this show has picked up over the past few episodes which is good because we were in a rut for a while there.
"Castle" - 8x19 - I enjoyed this episode. I think the case of the week was one of the best they've done in a while, Jonathan Silverman was really fun as the potential victim and I liked Castle's interactions with him. Those scenes worked really well. Oh, and Jonathan Silverman hasn't aged since "Weekend at Bernies"! He looked exactly the same!
"Lucifer" - 1x13 (season finale) - this season finale came around quick, didn't it? I thought it was a good episode. I'm glad Dan (is that his name?) confessed everything to Chloe and then turned himself in. Maybe he's not such a douche after all? And then Lucifer was willing to sacrifice everything he thought he wanted to save Chloe and Trixie. I think it's kind of a shame that this season was only half length because things have just started to get going and now it's finished! I guess that bodes well for season 2 though and I'm looking forward to seeing where things go from here. And that cliffhanger was interesting.
"Scorpion" - 2x24 (season finale) - I thought this episode was quite good too but with season 2 now finished it's gonna seem weird waiting til September for the next episode. I wonder where things are gonna go from here? Happy's already married? But to who and how come this hasn't come up before? They must have done background checks on each other? Especially Walter, surely he wouldn't have let anyone joined the team without doing that? That seems weird. Poor Toby. And Walter has finally realised, and said outloud, how he feels about Paige but now what? Obviously she cares about him but is she gonna be willing to drop Tim just like that? Maybe she'll tell Walter he's too late? That could be interesting.
"Containment" - 1x02 - I thought this second episode was a good one. I'm interested in Jake - why is he so angry? What is going on with him that we don't know about yet? He must have his reasons for why he was acting that way. I'm quite interested in finding out why. I'm glad he's decided to stay at the hospital now as his relationship with the teacher is quite interesting to me too. I'm also wondering about the order in which the infected people have died - what if patient zero isn't really patient zero? But then who is? This show is holding my interesting quite well far.
"The Flash" - 2x19 - I enjoyed this episode. I really want to know who the man in Zoom's prison is. Obviously he's someone important but I can't think who he might be. I hope we find out before the end of the season. I liked seeing Caitlin interacting with her doppleganger. I also liked that the team worked together to get Wells out of trouble and having his daughter back was nice. I thought it was cool that Barry could still save the day even without his powers. Cute scenes between Joe and Wally.
"Limitless" - 1x22 (season finale) - I thought this finale was pretty good and I liked seeing Brian teaming up with Rebecca and the gang again to try and save the day. I though the scenes between him and Rebecca were especially good as I really like their friendship (I kinda want to ship them but at the same time I love their platonic friendship and platonic love can be just as special as romantic love) and the scene when she told him he was a hero, with or without NZT, was really nice. I still don't trust Piper though and that scene with her at the end just didn't seem right to me, especially when it came just after Brian's talk with Rebecca. Her giving him that injection just didn't seem like a good idea. In fact, from him seeing her onwards just seemed like another NZT side effect hallucination to me because everything seemed too good and a little too rushed. I just don't know but I really hope we get a season 2 so we can find out.
Even though the second half of this season wasn't as strong as the first half, I've really enjoyed this show and will really miss Brian and co if it doesn't get renewed. Here's hoping for season 2.
"Arrow" - 4x19 - I thought this episode was quite good but the fallout to what happened in the previous episode wasn't as traumatic as I was expecting and, weirdly, hoping. I was glad we got some guilt from the others but it just didn't seem like a fitting goodbye for the charatcer which is a real shame. I thought the flashbacks were quite good and an interesting change from what we usual get. I'm looking forward to seeing how they're gonna face Darkh now though - is he really unbeatable?
"Supernatural" - 11x19 - I enjoyed this standalone episode much more than the previous ongoing storyline one. I always think it's cool when we see other hunters and I liked the story of the ones we saw in this episode. I liked that Sam and Dean wanted to team up with them to face Amara but didn't mention it when they said they wanted to hang up the spurs and have a normal life. I think that's what all hunters want. The chance at a normal life.
I haven't had chance to watch "Sleepy Hollow" (I know what happens in this finale though), "Bates Motel" or "Stitchers" yet. Hopefully tonight.
