TV post (again)

A week since my last post again. I just can't get motivated these days! I have a lot of shows to comment on though:

"Hawaii Five-0" - 6x20 - I thought this episode was okay. Better than it should have been when both storylines were a bit stupid. An escaped elephant and stolen Iron Man suit? Really? Was that the best they could do? Fortunately the execution was quite good which made it a bit bit better than the storylines suggested. It was good to see Danny again (finally!) as it had seemed like ages since he'd actually interacted with the rest of the team. I wonder what's gonna happen between Adam and Kono - I've never been a massive fan of their subplot so I can't say I'm really looking forward to it. I don't think the second half of this season has been that great, I hope things improve in the last handful of episodes, and the upcoming season 7.

I also watched "Chicago Med" 1x04 - which I quite enjoyed - and "Quantico" 1x18 - which was quite good. Slightly better than the previous few episodes and I'm glad things seem to be picking up a bit - before diving into my busiest day of the week (still) Tuesday and then onto Wednesday.

"Blindspot" - 1x18 - after my complaint last week about Kurt and Jane spending too much time apart I was glad that that changed for this episode and it did seem a lot better for it. I thought seeing Rich Dotcom again made things quite interesting and I thought it was quite good that Kurt didn't trust him right from the beginning as it would have been silly if everyone just blindly believed him.  Like I said, I thought this episode was much better than the previous few so I hope things are gonna stay this way til the finale.

"Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" - 1x18 (season finale) - I thought this finale was quite good. I quite liked the way the Rebecca and Greg stuff went but why did Greg find it so difficult to tell her how he really felt? Why did he hide it all behind that "I don't care" attidude? Obviously Greg has his own issues to deal with about self worth and everything so it's probably good for them not to be together right now. I also don't think I actually want them to be together right now as they both have issues to work out. I think Rebecca has made a mistake with Josh now though and I think he might start to regret it, especially after she revealed to him that she did actually follow him there. I don't know if they will be good together really. I think Rebecca should be alone while she works through all of her issues. I still don't think Paula is helping with anything - and I thought the way she acted towards Rebecca in this episode was out of line. I'm glad they worked things out (with Darryl's help) but I don't think being that close to Paula is actually good for Rebecca. Paula is way too controlling.

I ended up enjoying this show way more than I expected to (especially the first half of the season) and I'm looking forward to seeing how things go through season 2.

"Lucifer" - 1x12 - I think this show has improved a lot since it first started and it's definitely doing a good job of holding my attention. It's not perfect but the relationship between Lucifer and Chloe is interesting enough to hold my attention. Why is he vulnerable to pain when she's around? What does that actually mean? I'm also warming to Lucifer as a character and I like the way he hates it when people do bad things in his name. That cliffhanger though? I wonder how that's gonna be resolved? I think next weeks is the finale.

"Scorpion" - 2x23 - I enjoyed this episode. I thought the case of the week was good and I liked the situations the gang ended up involved in. Walter can be so infuriating sometimes though! Why doesn't he just admit how he feels about Paige because everyone else knows! And he's pushing her away. Having said that, I can understand why he's doing it, her friendship just means so much to him and he doesn't want to risk that. He's actually quite adorable when he's awkward around her though, and when he gave her those tickets but then chickened out and said she could use them with Tim (is that his name?) I just sighed and said "oh Walter". Oh, and that cliffhanger? Does he think Toby is Walter or something? Or does he actually want Toby for something? I guess we'll find out next week.

"Supergirl" - 1x20 (season finale) - I thought this was a pretty solid finale. Kara managed to save the world, of course, but who's in that pod and what is Maxwell Lord up to (again)? I thought the scenes when Kara was saying goodbye to everyone where pretty well done - I especially liked her scenes with Winn and Cat Grant. I think her working relationship with Cat Grant might actually be my favourite relationship on the show. I did like that Alex was the one that ended up saving her life though. I'm still not warming to James for some reason and I don't think I'm onboard with the whole Kara and James thing. I just don't really think the chemistry is there which is a real shame.

I've really enjoyed this show as a whole although I think the first half of the season was slightly stronger than the second. Here's hoping we get a season 2 (so we can find out who's in that pod).

"Containment" - 1x01 - I thought this was quite a good start and I think this show could be quite interesting. I liked that you have the obvious virus angle but that's mixed with the possibility of it being a terrorist attack using biological warfare, and the investigation into that. I think that could work quite well if they get the balance right. I think the characters were interesting enough too. I'm looking forward to seeing where things go from here.

"The Flash" - 2x18 - I thought this was a good episode and it was good to have the show back after what seemed like quite a long time. I liked the way they handled the fall out to the whole Jay thing (I thought the intro to how his character became the way he is was quite good). He looks very evil all of a sudden even though it's the same actor. I thought it was interesting that as soon as Wally moves in with Joe bad stuff happens. Surely it's only a matter of time before Wally finds out that Barry is the Flash. I thought the Cisco stuff was cool as usual and I thought his talk with Barry was quite sweet, I'm glad Cisco decided to use his power to try and help them get to Zoom. What's gonna happen now? Surely Barry will get his speed back somehow? And who's the man in the mask who is being held prisoner by Zoom? I'm dying to know!

"Limitless" - 1x21 - I thought this episode was good. It was interesting to see Brian doing a normal job but he couldn't shake the idea of NZT and working with the FBI so, of course, he had to rope his new friend into helping him investigate. I do think that him taking NZT again is gonna end up being a bad idea though and I hope he doesn't end up on the wrong end of things. I thought his scenes with Rebecca were good as usual and I'm looking forward to seeing more of them working together. I'm still not sure if I trust Piper (even though she wasn't actually in this episode). I feel like Brian is being played. Next weeks is the second part of the finale and I'm getting scared. I really hope things don't turn out badly for Brian and I'm still hoping for a season 2.

"Stitchers" - 2x05 - I thought this episode was quite a good one. I liked the idea that if someone is being mind controlled it can effect Kristen during a stitchand I thought it was nice that Cameron was the one who could bring her back. I was worried that Camille was being played by Liam but it turns out she's the one playing him, but how far is she willing to go? I'm interested in seeing where things are gonna go from here - who is Liam working for anyway and who is the kid in the red cap?

"Castle" - 8x18 - I thought it was nice that Hayley got an episode about her and I thought this was quite a good one. I thought it was nice that everyone teamed up to clear her name, although I'm not sure how legal it was. Beckett probably should have taken her in while the others were investigating or whatever. I still think things need to be shaken up but after hearing what's been going on behind the scenes maybe that might happen if we get a season 9.
