So, it's been almost a week (again) since my previous post. I'm sorry I've become so sporadic when it comes to posting.
I went back to work this week after the Easter break and it was really weird getting up and going to work without Spencer meowing at my bedroom door to wake me up first. I really miss him.
In TV news, I watched some of my shows - interestingly some of them weren't on (again) this week. The post Christmas US TV schedule is so erratic and it almost surprises me every year.
Since my previous post I've watched:
"Chicago Med" - 1x04 - I'm quite enjoying this so far. It kinda reminds me of early "ER" and that can only be a good thing. I've given up on "Chicago PD" (that actually happened a while ago, I just got behind and didn't really care) and "Chicago Fire" didn't hold my attention as much last season. Maybe this show is gonna be the best of the Chicago franchise?
"Quantico" - 1x17 - I thought this episode was quite a good one. Things seem to be picking up a little bit which gives me hope for the finale - I just hope we get some answers by the end and they don't save it all for the second season. I don't think this show has been as good since the Christmas break, to be honest.
"Criminal Minds" - 11x16 - I thought this episode was a pretty good one and Shemar Moore did a good job with the Morgan stuff. I was a little bit disappointed that we didn't get to see more of the team looking for him though as I think that would have been really good. They're kinda like a family but I don't think that really showed in this episode. Maybe it could have done with being a two-parter?
"Blindspot" - 1x17 - I have to be honest, this show isn't really holding my attention these days and I do find myself easily distracted sometimes. Having said that I did really enjoy the Patterson stuff in this episode - I think she's probably my favourite character in the show so it was good that she had some more screen time than usual. I also liked how the team reacted to her being missing. That was a good touch. I think it's a shame that Fuller and Jane seem to be working together less during the second half of this season - I thought their partnership (or whatever it is) was the main focus of the show but it seems to be having less screentime these days.
"Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" - 1x17 - I thought it was interesting that they're addressing the Rebecca and Greg stuff but, to be honest, even though I was totally shipping them in the first half of the season, I'm not entirely sure how I feel about it. Them deciding to keep it casual seemed like a strange choice but are they both just saying what they think the other one wants to hear? It did lead to some good songs though and I think "Oh My God I Think I Like You" is my favourite one since "What'll It Be". Paula has definitely started to annoy me though and her opinions on Rebecca and her life are probably doing more harm than good to Rebecca's mental situation. She just needs to step back and let Rebecca make her own choices even if she thinks they're wrong. Next weeks is the finale and I'm wondering how things are gonna go?
"Lucifer" - 1x11 - I'm enjoying this show quite a lot now and the friendship between Lucifer and Chloe is really holding the show together for me now. Obviously she has some kind of effect on him and his human side and he's good for her for some reason. I'm interested in how things progress and what it actually all means. The cases of the week are interesting enough but this show is all about the relationships for me.
"Castle" - 8x17 - I thought this episode was okay but something definitely needs to happen to shake things up as things have definitely got stale now. If we do come back for a ninth season I hope things change. The case of the week was okay here but even Castle's outlandish theories are getting a bit tired now.
"Scorpion" - 2x22 - as I managed to binge watch this whole show up until this point it seems really weird watching only one episode a week. I thought this episode was pretty good and this show is just easy to watch. I think Walter and Paige will find their way back to each other in the end but not before we've seen both of them explore other relationships. Much like Walter did in this episode even though, in the end, it didn't work out.
"Stitchers" - 2x04 - after a slightly shakey start to the season this past couple of episodes have been good. Kirsten seems to have settled into her new characteristics and is trying to figure out her feelings and stuff and reckless Cameron seems to have settled down a bit and I'm not worried about what situation he might find himself in during every episode. I think that, much like Paige and Walter, Cameron and Kirsten need to explor the possibility of other relationships. And I don't think Kirsten expects Cameron to wait for her for a long time (she said as much in this episode really). Anyway, I'm not against Cameron exploring something with that comic book girl (can't remember her name) because I'm sure him and Kirsten will find their way back to each other in the end. Oh, and who is that boy Kirsten keeps seeing in the stitches? That's an interesting one and probably has something to do with her father, I guess?
"Bates Motel" - 4x02 - this show returned last week but I don't think I posted about it (I don't remember). This season has started pretty well (although I could have done with an extensive "previously on.." last week. The stuff between Norman and Norma has started out really intensly. I wonder what might happen now? Incidentally, Freddie Highmore and Vera Farmiga are both brilliant.
