So, tomorrow morning I'm heading up to Birmingham for Rogue Events' City of Heroes #2! There's 25 guests at this one so I'm excited but also kinda scared because it's gonna be massive! Plus, I just looked at the recently released price list and it all seems very expensive. So far I've been priced out of the group photoshoots I wanted (I just can't justify the price, to be honest) but with so many good guests I'm gonna have to get some photos. I just need to decide which ones!
In other news, I'm gonna post a TV catch up.
"Quantico" - 2x21 - I thought this episode was quite interesting and as we're now heading towards the season finale (only one episode left) things do seem to be getting resolved which is good. I had a feeling that the reveal from last weeks episode wasn't gonna be for real so I wasn't at all surprised when that was revealed. I think the big reveal at the end of this episode was the real deal though and if it really is that person then I guess I am quite surprised (although, I couldn't really tell you if the clues were there because I haven't trusted anyone since the first episode). I wonder when Aex will find out - it's quite interesting that the audience knows but no-one else does now. Could make for an interesting finale. I really hope it gives us a good one - shows don't seem to go all out on finales anymore.
"Bones" - 11x14 - I thought this episode was quite a good one although the case was kinda incidental to me as I'm all about Aubrey and Jessica. I just love his as a character and by default I like her because I like the way he is with her. Plus their chemistry is really good! I'm glad they managed to get their first kiss in the end even though it wasn't in the most perfect way. I liked the way they did that. I wonder what's gonna happen between them now?
"Criminal Minds" - 11x20 - I thought this episode was pretty good. The UnSub was in "My So Called Life", wasn't he? Brian Crackow (was that his name?). I thought the Rossi stuff was quite good too - I understand why his ex-wife acted the way she did but she should have really given him the choice and told him she was pregnant. Keeping it a secret because she thought he would choose work made sense to her (and let's face it, he might have chosen work but I think he should have been given all of the information).
"Blindspot" - 1x21 - I thought this episode was quite good. This show has picked up recently after a lull a few episodes ago which was good. I thought the main storyline regarding the hack was good and gave Patterson chance to shine again (I like her). I thought the fall out to Jane's actions worked well - I guess she had no idea what that dude (name?) was planning but now she does. How is she gonna help get their boss out of this? Not many episodes left now.
"Castle" - 8x21 - this was a weird episode that seemed like it should have been on over Halloween. This time of year just didn't seem right for it at all. I thought it was a fun episode though and it was nice to see Rick Cosnett on my TV again (he needs to be in another show as a main character). Next weeks episode is the finale and after the recent news of cancellation it will now serve as the series finale which seems weird. I hope it ends well. With all the drama about Stana Katic's contract not being renewed I was actually kinda intrigued by what they might have done in season 9. I guess we'll never know now. I do think it's time for it to end now and 8 seasons is a great run.
"Containment" - 1x04 - I thought this episode was a good one and things are getting really tense on both sides of the cordon. I'm enjoying Jake's relationship with Katie and I really hope that they both don't die and that maybe they can explore their friendship a bit more once the threat is over. If it ever is over. It was announced over night at this show will only have one season (the article I read didn't say it was cancelled, just that it was a "limited series" so maybe it was always gonna be one season long?) so I'm hoping things pick up a little bit (with only a 13 episode season) so things can end well. Sometimes I think 1 season things can be a good thing.
"The Flash" - 2x21 - I thought this Kevin Smith directed episode was quite a good one. I liked the contrast of where Barry was and what the others were doing in STAR Labs. I'm glad Barry (obviously) got his speed back and can now focus on the task at hand, trying to defeat Zoom. I wonder how he's gonna do it? And with a couple of episodes to go I'm hoping for an epic finale again this year. I'm interested in seeing where the Wally stuff is gonna lead to (is he gonna have powers too soon?) and will Jamie have any lasting after effects. Some great lines again from Cisco (he's the best) but I'm kinda missing Caitlin. I hope she rejoins them soon. I thought having Henry come back into Barry's life was good but the way he kept saying that he's back in Barry's life for good now and isn't going anywhere just seemed way too ominous. Is he gonna survive the end of this season?
"Stitchers" - 2x08 - I thought this was a good episode and I liked seeing them tackle a different kind of crime and pushing the boundaries of what they do. I thought it was interesting that not!Cameron in Kirsten's stitch helped her develop an idea to solve it. I wonder what that's all about anyway? Who really is it? I'm also interested in seeing where the storyline regarding Kirsten's half sister might lead. Hopefully she'll get some answers. I was glad Camille told Linus what she'd been doing with Liam and hopefully their relationship can be less strained now - especially with the family issues he's dealing with at the moment. I kinda felt sorry for Cameron regarding the whole Nina thing (although their whole relationship reminds me of Connor and that dreadful woman in "Primeval"). I wonder if they'll figure things out or will they decide that, as he can't be completely honest with her, the relationship isn't gonna work?
"Arrow" - 4x21 - I thought this was a pretty interesting episode again. Things are getting pretty interesting. I thought it was quite good having Felicity working with her father and they actually worked pretty well together (he obviously can't be trusted though). I didn't really understand why that missile ended up hitting a town and killing loads of people - I didn't really get it but when Felicity was moving the map co-oridnates or whatever why didn't she move them into the water so it wouldn't kill everyone? That was a bit weird. I wonder how Felicity will deal with the fact that she killed all those people (well, she didn't really, Darhk did, but you know what I mean). I hope they don't just gloss over that. I'm interested in how things are gonna go now - with only a couple of episodes left.
"Supernatural" - 11x21 - I thought this episode was okay (although not as good as last weeks). I thought the scenes between Sam, Dean and Chuck were interesting and the new prophet guy seemed quite interesting. I wonder if we'll see him again? I think I'm just over this Amara thing now though and I just want Castiel to be back to normal.
