So, we had a bit of heatwave here yesterday. It reached 25 degrees! That's just not right in April. That kinda temperature needs to be saved til July. The onset of unseasonably warm weather has meant that I had to ditch my boots and I'm attempting to break in a new pair of Keds. I really hate wearing new shoes - even if they don't actually hurt it takes a little while for them to get really comfortable.
In TV news:
"NCIS: Los Angeles" - 6x20 - I thought this episode was quite good. It was nice to see a bit of insight into Callen (and explain why he forgives Hetty all the time) but I'm a bit disappointed the Deeks Internal Affairs stuff that was mentioned a few episodes ago hasn't been expanded on yet. I need my Deeks-centric story arc now!
"The Following" - 3x08 - I thought this episode was quite good. Theo is a real piece of work and I'm starting to think he might even be worse that Joe Carroll. At least Joe seemed to have some kind of feelings for certain people. Theo has nothing. It's like he just uses people to maintain his cover and he just kills them when they're not needed. He's a sociopath. I did wonder during this episode how we got on to this storyline though - what happened to Mark again? I assume we're gonna see him again at some point? Still don't trust Ryan's girlfriend, btw.
"Elementary" - 3x17 - I actually just had to look this episode up to remember what it was even about. I don't think that's a good sign. I thought this episode was okay (total filler really) but the Sherlock and Joan scenes were quite good again.
"The 100" - 2x15 - This episode was quite intense, huh? I'm a little disappointed about what they did with Lexa. I can't believe she betrayed Clarke after everything they'd been through. I wonder what Clarke's play is now? How are Bellamy and co gonna get out of this now? Can they even come up with a new plan quick enough now? Next weeks is the finale so I guess we'll find out.
"The Night Shift" - 2x09 - I enjoyed this episode. I thought the teenage girl patient case was really interesting (I think they needed House to help solve the mystery). I also really liked how they all rallied around to help Ragosa - it just shows how far they've come really because they didn't really like him last year because he wasn't one of them.
The Flash 1x18 - This was another really strong episode of this show that just seems to keep getting better. It was cool seeing Felicity cross over again (and I think I end up enjoying her more on this show than I do in "Arrow" these days which is a shame) and I liked that she brought Ray with her this time (I enjoyed Ray's scenes with Cisco too). It was nice for Barry to have Felicity to confide in regarding Harrison Wells and his suspicions about Caitlin and Cisco. I hope they can be trusted but I kind of understand Barry's worries (and Joe's). It wasn't that long ago when he completely trusted Harrison Wells. Now he's confided in them I hope he hasn't made a mistake.
I thought it was interesting that Cisco was having flashbacks of that alternate timeline scene (I didn't know that could happen but I liked it) and his suspicions have been raised because of that. It just felt so real that maybe it does mean something. I wonder what they're gonna do with that information now? Barry still needs to improve his poker face - Harrison Wells (or whatever his name really is) is smart and dangerous. If he suspects that they know what's going on who knows what he would do? They could all be in danger.
I also really liked Eddie in this episode - I liked that he's questioning them not telling Iris everything. I'm glad there's someone in the show like him. I'm quite glad he's not happy with keeping secrets from her. I wonder if they'll end up telling her? I know Joe and Barry think they're doing it for her own good but she's the only person in Barry's life that doesn't know. If I was her I don't think I'd be happy about being kept in the dark. It's quite interesting too that she knows that Eddie is keeping secrets from her but has no idea that Barry and Joe are too. I feel sorry for Eddie being in the middle of things.
The "case of the week" was pretty good too. This show is good at balancing the different storylines out. Looking forward to the remaining handful of episodes this season!
"Grimm" - 4x12 - I thought this episode was pretty good. It's interesting having Adalind back in town. I wonder what's gonna happen with that? I also thought it was quite cool having the bounty hunter dude working for the Wesen council and after Nick. Surely Nick is gonna realise that something is off with Juliette now. There's no way she could have killed him by herself. I hope she tells him soon. I know the Grimm instinct is to kill a Hexenbiest but it's Nick! She's got to tell him.
"Bates Motel" - 3x03 - I thought this episode was a good one. So Norman didn't do away with the girl from number 4 then? But then who did shoot her and what does the woman found in the water have to do with anything? It's very interesting. Norman is definitely unraveling and the cracks in his relationship with Norma are forming. I wonder what she'll do to try and stop him from becoming what we all know he becomes? Once again the scenes between her and the Sheriff were really good - I really like them together and I hope she can learn to trust him soon. I also really like the scenes between Emma and Dylan. The actors playing them has great chemistry. I wonder if they'll explore that on the show? If they do what would that do to Norman?
Oh, btw, I ordered some new action figures the other day. They arrived yesterday!! Look!
