I ordered a Jawbone UP "fitness band" the other day and it arrived yesterday. I think it's quite cool - it measures how much you move and sleep and stuff. Last night I apparently had quite an interrupted sleep. Which actually explains a lot. Mark's had one for a while and I'd been thinking about getting one and this was in the sale. I had to get it.
Also, while I was out yesterday I looked for that Hunger Magazine for the Ricky Wilson pictures and apparently they're not in the print issues which is incredibly disappointing. I'm just glad I looked at the magazine first and didn't just buy it, or order it online, without checking. Not having to buy it did save me £7 though. Shame though because I really wanted physical copies of those images to put on my wall. Oh well.
NCISLA 5x21
I enjoyed this episode - it was really nice having Kensi and Deeks back together again and working the case and even though I'm not quite sure what it all meant I like their discussions about their “thing” and the stuff with the box. I'd really missed Kensi being with the other guys but I didn't really realise quite how much. It's great having them all back together again.
I thought the case of the week was good - and it was nice seeing Daniel Henney making an appearance (he played Adam's brother in H50, of course) and his character was very interesting and I didn't know whether I trusted him or not during the whole episode. Evidently Hetty shouldn't have believed him btu what's her plan for him now? And will we see him again before the season is over?
I still can't figure Hetty out - what exactly was she trying to do having Kensi and Deeks handle the discussions with him? Clearly she knows what's going on with Kensi and Deeks and was somehow using that. She's such a mystery and almost everything she does makes no sense to me, although it usually does at some point. Sometimes I just think she's manipulating everyone for whatever reason and that kinda worries me. Doe she really have their best interests at heart or is she just using them for somekind of mission. Like I said, I just can't figure her out.
I enjoyed the Sam and Callen scenes as usual this week and Deeks was adorable as always. I hope him and Kensi figure things out.
SPN 9x18
I thought this episode was pretty good but, if I'm honest, I didn't really get it. For most of it I didn't really know what was going on - the angel storylines kinda do that to me and even though I like seeing Castiel I just wish the angel storylines were simpler.
Speaking of Castiel, I really enjoyed his scenes with Gabriel (aka the Trickster) probably because I just wasn't expecting to see Richard Speight Jr and it was awesome having him back, even for a little while. I did figure out that it wasn't real though so I liked the scene when Castiel realised because his coat wasn't ripped. Richard Speight Jr and Misha Collins are really good together so I liked their scenes.
I liked seeing Sam and Dean confront Gadriel and I really did think that Dean was gonna kill him before they could make the exchange. The mark of Cain storyline is quite interesting to me and I'm worried about what it's gonna do to Dean - I was worried already but seeing Castiel's reaction has made me more worried, and Dean just seems so broken and damaged. That makes me feel really sad for him. Especially as he actually believed what Gadriel was saying to him - that's exactly how he feels about himself. I'm looking forward to some Dean-centric episodes as we head towards the season finale. I kinda hope the finale is about him and the mark of Cain.
Oh, and Castiel has decided that he wants to lead the other remaining angels. I'm don't know if that's a good idea or not. I guess we'll find out.
After those two I watched "Chicago Fire" - 2x16 - I thought this episode was good as usual. I really hope Casey and Boden find a way for them to keep Jones. I think her father is bang out of order - she clearly wants to be a fire fighter and has the potential to be good at it. Surely Casey and Boden can't do what he's asking? That just wouldn't be right. Oh, and I right to be assuming that Severide Snr has done something to that due that hurt Katie? Did he kill him? And Vaughn is covering it up, I guess.
I hope Dawson can pass her fire fighter test this time around. If she does are we gonna get another partner for Shay?
Then I watched "Beauty and the Beast" - 2x10 - I liked this episode and I especially enjoyed the Gabe and Cat moments. I've mentioned before that I kinda shipped them but didn't actually expect anything to happen, from her end anyway, so I was as surprised as he was when she kissed him. It was an adorable scene though and I think Gabe is really sweet. I wonder if anything will happen between them now? I'm sure she'll end up choosing Vincent in the end though, this show is about their "epic love story" after all.
It was fun seeing Ian Bohen making an appearance and the case was pretty interesting - I kept thinking something was gonna be off with Patrick because no-one had any info on him. I wonder if they'll revisit his character at some point?
Finally for Wednesday night I watched "Grimm" - 3x11 - I thought this was a pretty good episode as usual. They seem to be focusing a lot on cases that they don't know are wesen related until right near the end of the episode at the moment. I kinda like that but I also kinda miss the ongoing storyline stuff. I thought they were going somewhere with the fall out of Nick's zombie issues but they don't seem to be doing anything with that right now? Maybe it's gonna come back soon. I hope so because I thought that was really interesting. I do like the case of week aspect of the show though and I enjoy seeing Nick and Hank working the cases together.
I thought the Rosalee and Monroe stuff was quite good this week as well - I liked finding out more about Rosalee and her family.
After watching that I was tired and decided that the other Wednesday shows would have to wait - like they usually do actually. I just can't fit them all in so have to carry some over to different days.
