I just finished my Visual Narrative paper, it ended up being nine pages! I got past eight and a half and just decided that I really didn't want to keep going. Though I still have to give it a few more read-throughs to make sure everything looks alright, so I may end up adding another paragraph or two to flesh out the argument.
