Late-Night April Fool's Post
I am sitting at my computer in my pajamas. It is now...three in the morning. It has been a hectic day.
Detective Gumshoe, I want to commend you on your fortitude and courage in pulling off that prank on the Chief. Needless to say I will be taking the heat for it, but you might want to keep your head down until his uniform comes back from the cleaners and he manages to get his car out of the impound. Go about your business as normal - so long as they don't find the waffle iron in your desk, you'll be fine.
In fact, when you read this, take it and throw it away somewhere.
I have a feeling I'll get my comeuppance before morning, though. The agreement I have with my wife is that we are allowed to prank each other once over the entirety of the day. The prank has to be set up before noon, but the repercussions of it could come at potentially any time. I replaced her favorite cinnamon chewing gum with peppermint, which was worth a good laugh from both of us, but my wife...my wife is more serious about this than I am.
I just wonder what direction it's going to come from.
