Originally uploaded by junquegrrlThanks so much for the well-wishes and sympathy, friends. So far, except for the loss of appetite, Lucy seems more-or-less okay. She comes running when called, grooms herself, jumps up on the furniture, etc. I am crossing my fingers that the increased sub-q fluid will halt and reverse the weight-loss and delay the inevitable. Thanks, too, for the suggestions to warm the saline - we'll try that. We love her so much.
Some people tried to tell me that my pets would cease to be important to me once the baby came. That has not been my experience - they'll always be my first "babies."
