Now, before I start... Let me firts say that while it doesn't show here, I did the outline on the original picture, not the one resized to 100x100ish size. That way, I get a smoother line. Afterwards, I resized the entire thing but moved the layers to a new image seperately, to allow me more freedom with effects and colors.
Now, from bottom to top:
Started out with this background.. Actually, the background was black at first, but I later changed it to this color, to work with the blend modes I've used with the pattern.
-->
Pasted over the image. After I did the outline, I ereased everything around it. This is why the edges are not deleted completely - the outline was there on the original image, and will be there in the icon.

Added in this solid-blue layer. [Exclusion, 63%] Heh, aren't you tired of this effect already? *g*

Made by
inxsomniax. I pasted it over everything, and deleted the parts around the image. That was done after I pasted on the outline, so actually I deleted everything around the outline. [Normal, 100%]

I've already established that I looove gradients in the previous tutorial. [Overlay, 100%]
-->
Copy of the base image. [Screen, 100%]. Bright is nice!
-->
Finally, the infamous outline! [Normal, 100%] Oh yeah. On the original image, I just used the brush tool on opacity 100, and size... 10, maybe? I don't know, it all depends on the size of your original image, and how wide you want the outline.

Gwyneth's name in Ariel [I think], white, with a pink shadow. [Multiply, 67%] Afterwards, I used the same layer from, which I have duplicated before adding the shadow. [Normal, 100%] I did the same with the last name as the first name, but smaller font size.
