Tutorial #14 - femmeicons31 [Kelly Clarkson]

An incredibly simple icon... which, um, I guess most of my icons tend to be. ;)

My base, cropped out of the image supplied by femme_icons

-->

Light texture from teh_indy. [Screen, 100%]

-->

Duplicated the light texture from above, and fliped it. [Screen, 100%] The icon looks ugly and overly faded now, but we're going to take care of that very soon, don't worry.

-->

Duplicated the original base. [Overlay, 57%] It already looks better, no?

-->

Did 'Copy Merged' on the icon, resized to 50x50, and placed it in the corner. Oh, and rotated it around, obviously. [Normal 100%]

-->

Made a little white frame around the resized image using the Preset Shapes tool. [Normal, 100%]

-->

Random tiny text, just to add some intrest to the icon. I did this at the very end, actually, because no big text worked for me, but I didn't want the icon to seem 'empty'. [Normal, 100%]

-->

Some more of that tiny text... [Normal, 100%]

-->

I didn't want a smooth border, so I again used tiny text to make a border. [Screen, 100%]

-->

Now on the other side... [Screen, 100%]

-->

Duplicated the layer from the previous step, just to make it stand out more. [Screen, 100%]

Done! :)
