It's Chron's AND ulcerative collitis. Rare to have both, but apparently he does. Now I have Chron's on both sides of the family (as well as the prediction made when I was 19 that I'd have it by the time I was 30 but I don't think I have it ..yet...) and I don't know if UC is genetic or not. I just got off the phone with Mom and it looks like the mass in my father's intestinal wall is cancer and they may not be able to operate because of his problems with blood clots in the lungs a few weeks ago. Even if it's *not* cancer (we will hopefully find out next Tuesday), he's still having major problems and they still might not be able to ( Read more... )
