And the winner is...

It's Chron's AND ulcerative collitis. Rare to have both, but apparently he does. Now I have Chron's on both sides of the family (as well as the prediction made when I was 19 that I'd have it by the time I was 30 but I don't think I have it ..yet...) and I don't know if UC is genetic or not. His DNA tests aren't back yet I don't think, so maybe I will find out more when they give him their findings. (I'm also vindicated in that I've thought it was Chron's *all along*, despite supposedly hotshot doctors originally thinking it was cancer or just UC.)

He's going to be in the hospital at least until the end of next week, then another week to wrap things up in Florida then he thinks the Army is going to drive him to Georgia with a medical escort. I'm not holding my breath on that...He also thinks Georgia will send him to North Carolina quickly but we're *really* not holding our breath on that either. I think he will be in Georgia until December, like it or not. And he's soooo not gonna like it.

Mom's stopping by the house on her way to the airport as she has to pick totally different clothes for hanging out in the freezing cold hospital versus spending the weekend packing to move. But she's still going down for the weekend, and I don't think he will even think to do anything for her for her birthday :(

I really wish I knew more as I want to book Mom and I in on a class on beaded mini quilts as a birthday present for her, but it's on the 13th and who knows if His Majesty might demand that we be down there when he gets sprung from the hospital :/ He is so annoying because he thinks he's soooo sick and deserves special treatment in everything and people to jump every time he snaps his fingers -- but I know the Chron's readers out there know it doesn't happen like that! He's starting to demand it of us since he's not getting it out of the Army but I refuse and I think Mom is about at the end of her tether too. He needs to grow up and realize that he may be hospitalized but Mom and I are still living with more disabling illnesses!!!

Argh. Families...can't shoot em, can't get the money til they die. Or something like that! ;)
