Why I'm voting for Obama
My hubby posted about voting for Obama, so I'll follow his lead.
I'm psyched that Texas may actually matter in the primaries because it means I'll get to vote for Barack Obama. Aside from the fact that Obama is a very sexy man (sorry, Sweetie!), following are the reasons I believe he should and will be the next president of the U.S.A.
1. He has devoted his life to righting injustice, advocating for the disenfranchised, fighting for the environment, mobilizing communities, understanding and improving international relations, and furthering civil rights.
2. He believes in grass roots change.
3. He is the most inspirational speaker of our time.
4. He opposed the Iraq War from the start.
5. He's pretty sexy. (I know I said that already, but it will get him votes!)
6. He can beat the Republican candidate because he will attract voters who would not ordinarily come out to vote.
7. He will help our reputation with the rest of the world. (And after 8 years of "W", we will need it!!)
8. It's about time we had a minority president. (Though a woman would be nice too!)
