Julie Lyons
One of the people I remember very fondly from high school was my friend Julie Koch. She was kind and always had a smile on her face. In the last year, I got back in touch with Julie through a mutual friend. Since high school she married and had three lovely children.
Julie was diagnosed with stage IV Melanoma in September 2006. The joyful and positive attitude she maintained since then has completely floored me. She's my hero.
This past Saturday, Nov. 24, Julie passed away. My prayers and thoughts are with her family and friends, and especially her three beautiful little children. May she rest in peace.
