we've dug out from the snow...

Dec 07, 2003 20:17

First of all, we are dug out from the big snowstorm/blizzard/Nor'easter we had Friday into yesterday. We got about 15 inches of snow, I understand, and I was able to dig the car out this morning in time for church and the Christmas pageant rehearsal, which we had postponed from yesterday morning. The guy plowed out our complex late this afternoon, and did a pretty good job. All in all, not too bad a storm. It was cozy yesterday, hanging out here, getting some cleaning and Christmas decorating done.

Now, in keeping with one of gamiila's latest memes, which she got from Shannon and others, here is my subset of "Rate the Music"'s top 25 albums of all times:

1. EAGLES-Hotel California
4. BEATLES-The Beatles (White Album)
5. BEATLES-Abbey Road
6. PINK FLOYD-Dark Side Of The Moon
7. BEATLES-Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
9. PINK FLOYD-The Wall
11. FLEETWOOD MAC-Rumours
13. ELTON JOHN-Goodbye Yellow Brick Road
15. BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN-Born In The U.S.A.
18. SIMON & GARFUNKEL-Bridge Over Troubled Waters
19. LED ZEPPELIN-Untitled (IV)
20. LED ZEPPELIN-Led Zeppelin

Okay, so that is about half the list. You'll note that I don't have the heavy metal stuff that was on the original list. Now I have to cull through Rolling Stone's top 500 albums, for the fun of it, to see what matches I have with that. I bet I have a fair number, however.

cousinjean finished her wonderful Spuffy story, The Butterfly Effect, early yesterday morning. And happily, she is intending to write a sequel, and actually one after that, as a trilogy of this particular 'verse. Yippee! Here's a link to her index of the posts for the story. She is also going to have a beta'd version, in its final form, up at Dancing Lessons sometime soon.

Also, herself_nyc has a little story, linked from her LJ, called "Yes", which I enjoyed as well. Spuffy4eva, I say lol!
