Things have been crazy round here. I graduate from my program in 3 weeks (!!!) and so have been pretty focused on the job search/finishing my damn thesis. Wednesday was spent on Thesis Deathmarch 3 and underwent its first major revision. Thesis Deathmarch 4 will likely start next week after the next go-round of edits come in.

So yeah, this week happened. School was brutal, but the crap is mostly done. It turns out I drink coffee now, which is actually still a bad life choice because I get jittery and anxious after the caffeine starts to wear off so I'm trying to avoid situations where I don't really need to drink it anymore.

Gah. Writing my masters thesis this semester means basically every moment of my life not devoted to working/studying for other classes/sleeping is taken up reading many many many articles. Articles that are really dry and make me cry that it's only been 10 minutes and I *still* have lots more to read. Not cool. Plus I owe my adviser ( Read more... )

So I spent most of yesterday afternoon and evening (as well as this morning and afternoon) pretty bitter. I had applied for a fellowship program through my grad school and was supposed to find out if I had been nominated yesterday. So I'm waiting by the email all day. Did not win Best Crossover over at the 2009 cmfanficawards. Oh well. I got more than two votes (me, my beta) so that's pretty awesome. And considering it was my first attempt to write a big fic, I'm still really pleased with how the story turned out. Also, it has a kickass sequel and is rapidly evolving into a 'verse.
