Sup peeps. Once again, sorry for the lack of updates. I've been working a lot and had some things going on the past couple weeks. Haven't done too much, but I'll write about some of the bigger things that went on since I last updated.
Last week, I got full-time again. Which was nice, cause I'm going to the ICP concert in October, and I'm gonna be picking up Jeff's ticket as well for his birthday. Not to mention Hatchet Gear put out a helly-sweet Riddle Box hockey jersey that I desparatly want, which I posted below.
Aaand, there's a really cool Violent J shirt. It's like the Scarface DVD cover, but it's with, well, Violent J. That's also one of Jeff's birthday presents. Of course, there's a Shaggy 2 Dope one, but I'm not a big fan of red shirts (I work in one, after all). Here it is.
Plus, I spent a little money in my savings, so if I figure things correctly, I'll replace all that I've spent, and add some more. Needless to say, this full-time check couldn't have come at a better time.
Only downside of getting the full time, I got stuck into working 7 days in a row, and tomorrow is day 6. I also just hit my next raise, so now I'm making $8.40. Next raise should be in a few months.
But work hasn't been as great as it sounds. My friend Chris, who I work with in the Deli, got fired recently. It really sucks, cause he's my favorite person to work with, cause all we do is joke around. And he's a good worker. But he supposedly stole a ranch dressing packet (I mean, come on) and that's why he got fired. There might be more, but I haven't heard anything. It wouldn't surprise me if he did something way back and they just wanted to pin something on him to give them a reason to fire him.
We also hired 3 new people, one who I've been training, Amy. She's not bad, but she asks a lot of questions, and it gets tiring after a while. Asking questions is fine, but she asks questions like "What's the code for _______?" when they're either already programmed and labeled on the scales, or on the back of the stone. And it seems like she's trying to take over the kitchen. Not to mention she's somehow related to our store director, and for some reason I feel like she might report to him about how the Deli is run. As for the other two, one came from the Arden Hills Cub, so we won't have to train her that much, and I don't know too much about the other person. But at least we got a few more people and maybe we'll have four people at night.
My buddy Mike just turned 21 last week, so I went over to his house with Jeff and Chris and hung out with him. And, as I mentioned earlier, Jeff's 21st birthday is this week. He's having a party at his house this Saturday, which should be fun. I'm also hoping me and him go out to Old Chicago and start our World Beer Tour soon.
I also got the chance to hang out with Natalie last week, which was fun. We caught up, shot the shit, talked about the old days. It really made me miss the XBW days, and hanging out with her. I'm sure if I had a car, we'd hang out more often, since I'm only able to see her if she drives to my house or at a party or something like that. I really wanna hang out with her more though, but at least we keep in touch on the phone and text each other once in a while.
I spent a lot of money since my last update. I didn't buy all that much either, it was a few expensive things. I picked up a portable DVD player, which I use a lot, even though I'm usually at my house. But it's nice cause I can plug in headphones and use it while my brother's sleeping. Perfect for long rides in the car too, since it comes with a car adapter. I also picked up the Boondox and Stone Sour CDs, both are really good. There's a song on the Stone Sour CD called "Made Of Scars" that would have been perfect for a XBW music video. My brother bought a Nintendo DS a while back, and he wasn't too thrilled with it, so I bought it from him, as well as a copy of New Super Mario Bros. and Nintendogs. The third season of "Las Vegas" came out recently, I'm addicted to that show. The sixth season of "Everybody Loves Raymond" comes out Tuesday, so I'm obviously picking that up. Next week is the Brian Pillman DVD.
But I'm gonna shower and head to bed, so I'll check y'all on the flipp side!
