March has been a ridiculously busy month, and April is looking to be the same way. I really hope May is chill, so I can take off a few days here and there.
The trip down to Norfolk with my coworker was fun. There was delicious ice cream as well as margaritas. We also ate a place called Max & Erma's that served funnel cake fries with strawberry dipping sauce for dessert. This was considered a very good idea. More places should serve such noms.
Monday, Brooke and I went to the Terra Cotta warriors exhibit at the National Geographic Museum. It was amazing to see the unique details on each statue knowing there were thousands made for Qin Shihuangdi's tomb each slightly different from the others. Seriously, the wrinkles in the sleeves were unique to each statue. Photography was not allowed in the exhibit, but they did have a copy of one of the statues outside the exhibit. This was a great
photo opportunity.
As far as my dental health goes, there was some miscommunication about what was done last time. That wasn't a root canal. That was just blocking the roots for two weeks while I was on antibiotics for the root canal I actually had today. Root canals are officially my favorite dental procedure because there is hardly any horrible noise. I zoned out several times during the 45 minutes and could easily have fallen asleep if I hadn't had to keep my mouth open. When the dentist was done, he checked the x-ray to make sure he got all the roots and said that was one of the best root canals he's done in a while. The other dentist at the practice (who will be doing my crown in two weeks) stopped by and agreed that it was a great root canal. Glad I could be there for your awesome achievement.
In awesome friend news,
modillian sent me a virtual sugar bunny! My internet crush on her has increased!
Friday, Brooke and I are expecting more awesome friend happenings when Natalie and Judith arrive for the Cherry Blossom Festival. The weather is supposed to be amazing which means the number of people out and about will be absurd. I plan on wearing my piratey striped knee socks to ward off scurvy knaves.
