The Space Flight Gap and other Congressional Priorities
I received an email poll from a CongressCritter. Not my CongressCritter, mind you. But I was happy to assist her in representing her district. Here are the questions.
1) What is the biggest challenge facing our country?
2) How can government better support small businesses?
3) How concerned are you about a possible space flight gap?
Turns out this person's office is in Orlando, and I'm guessing she must represent the area around Cape Canaveral as well. I told her I was extremely concerned about the space flight gap, although I'm not 100% sure what it is -- I suspect it has to do with the Shuttles being decommissioned before a replacement vehicle is available.

What other issues should my office and I focus on in 2010?
- Repeal DADT and DOMA, pass ENDA
- Get out of Afghanistan
- Do all possible to encourage clean energy technology including a carbon tax or cap and trade legislation
- Pass tough and effective regulations on Wall Street to prevent a recurrence of 2008
- Break up too big to fail banks.
