I was honestly surprised at how good it was because there was a lot of potential for this series to be Sparacus set in renainssance Florence, wherein there are almost no strong female roles and every third scene is a sex scene. I'm currently obsessed with all of Marlies Dekker's swimwear and lingerie pieces. Here, lingerie is treated as a piece of clothing; deserving of just a much thought, design and innovation as design of a dress would warrant.
