Well according to the specialist I saw yesterday that is. She said that my hearing loss is not typical of Meniere's - didn't ask why I thought it was, didn't ask about the hearing problems I suffered from earlier in the year, when it was as if a generator was running all the time. However she did a lot of rather odd tests, and finally told me the good news was that I didn't have Meniere's, but hearing loss, tinnitus and some vertigo, which she couldn't cure!! She is sending me for physiotherapy - I think to help with the vertigo (which is not a problem as far as I am concerned!!) I will have a check-up in 9 months' time. So I now havew no excuse for malingering!!
