UGH. That sucks!! I'm glad you warned me so I won't re-up my paid account.

I'd switch to DW, but a lot of my communities are here, as are a lot of my friends. :(

I made an edit to my post (though I still rather want to see first what I'm paying for before I pay for it).

I don't see a need to switch just yet; I found posting in both places is a good option, and DW's cross-posting option makes it really easy. I'll stay aboard the Titanic until the band starts playing...

I've been doing the DW crosspost thing as well. I may have to ante up at DW to get to use my lovely icons now. I hope more of my LJ old friends (and following_sea!) will come over.

I'm sure they will, eventually. The new friendslist might be just the straw that breaks the camel's back; many people have stopped posting already, if they stop reading and commenting as well, then that's the end for LJ.

LJ's English-speaking user base is not their main concern at this point anyway. It may continue to be viable for the Russians after it's stopped being useful for us... but I may have to look into getting a Blogger or Wordpress site, too. DO NOT WANT. Far too much effort getting it to look pretty!
