Kind of funny story...

Today I sent our my group's viability study to the executive director of the energy consumers alliance who assigned us the project. His responsibility is minimal at this point, mainly because after all of our research, we came to the conclusion that the proposed project would bring no revenue stream to his organization, and no new source of renewable energy to the state. Basically he has to write us a cover letter that reccomends us to our supervisors here at brown, since the report was for him to get credit with them. There was one slight problem that I just noticed in one of the background sections of the report...the elevendibillionth version had a vestige of one of my groupmate's comments somewhere deep inside its huge mass. The paragraph read as follows, as was sent to our organization contact...

"In addition to the environmental benefit represented by the value of RECs , the production of biodiesel has important macroeconomic benefits for the United States compared to petroleum-based fuels because it supports domestic agriculture. Additionally, since biodiesel is produced domestically from agricultural feedstock, the price of biodiesel is less susceptible to fluctuations that result from political turmoil in foreign oil-producing nations, unlike petroleum fuel prices. The flow of US dollars to oil-producing nations disrupts the balance of trade What DA FUCK??!!, but the creation of new jobs and agricultural markets bolsters the national economy."

So yeah...now I'm just waiting and hoping he gets my final final version before he even goes near that paragraph. Ha. Ha.
