I'm posting in my livejournal because 
shereminisces tagged me for this meme, and because I want to keep track of my friends and want them to be able to keep track of me. Meme first. Six wierd things about me. To encourage readership, they are short. Go.
1. I have knocked on wood compulsively all day long since I was fifteen, in hopes that nothing bad will ever happen. Bad things have and continue to happen, yet I still do it, keeping track in my mind to ensure I only knock wood in twos.
2. I once walked for miles along traintracks in snow past cemetaries at midnight.
3. I've worked for and now consult for non-profits, but I get a huge kick out of wearing a suit and looking like I've got some terribly important high-paying corporate job in public.
4. My feet have weird cracks in the heels.
5. The main reason I became a vegetarian was because Jacob bet me ten dollars he could do it longer.
6. I must check under every bed I sleep on and in every closet in bedrooms I sleep in.

About me this summer:
Yeah so I'm a undergraduate summer fellow for this management consulting firm that helps entrepreneurial non-profit businesses and social enterprises (for profits with a social mission) carry out strategic initiatives. That is the mouthful I give anyone who asks, anyway. I've basically been given a desk, a computer, this big puzzle to figure out for this business, and the charge, "Don't screw up" by the firm that hired me, which is scary, but which is inspirational, too. It's only been one week, and I am having a good time doing my work and getting to know the other fellows, and I believe that I am learning things sometimes. It's good for me because I am such a worry wart (I mean I knock wood nonstop to prevent all bad things from happening ever) and I spend all this time worrying about the future. This gives me something to at least pursue for a little while to quell my fears.
I am living in Somerville, which is going very well. Mags is twenty minutes away and has been staying here periodically and it's been way tight to have
trayvessio around town for the summer down in Allston living with
krysalist. Some of the other fellows at my firm are cool kids, and there have been many formal training activities and a few informal bar hopping activities to spice up my nightlife and make me a zombie at the office.
That's the gist. I"ll come back when I've had some revelations, but as for now, everything is a little too new and in the planning stages for that. Soon to bed for me.
