This just really reads as being really hateful and ignorant, which is unusually out of character for you, Josh.

I'm usually game to argue politics, but there's really nothing to argue here. This 'problem' you're talking about really isn't a problem at all.

To be honest, I can't even tell that you know what this 'problem' is, because you never really specify what it is.

This is downright shameful.

I don't see how anything I said was hateful or ignorant. Unless you just "get that feeling." Or you're offended by me pointing out the obvious fact that illegal immigration is in fact a crime ( ... )

Mexico's GDP is the 13th highest on earth. They could pay for themselves without too much American tax money going there. Plus, our government wasted an estimated $28 billion this year on useless projects - so we obviously have enough money to cover investing in Mexico's future.

I'll try to look into how much we spend on these places. Considering the enormity of our budget, they really seem like small expenditures.

Just so everyone knows, I just ate a bean burrito. And it let me down. Flavorless and lacking in decent texture or character.
This seemed to be the only suitible place for me to post this information.
This reasoning doesnt make me a racist does it?

Of course not, Bryce. It does show that we need to annex Mexico because there is definitely a burrito gap between us that we cannot allow to exist.

We shall not have a Cold Burrito War. Possibly another positive aspect of the Mexican Annexation would be a rise in burrito quality, for all to enjoy. Happy bellies through North American Unity. We could trade our secret Grilled Stuffed technology for their secrets of quality, freshness, and spice. All shall profit from this great venture between two cultures.

I started to write a big reply to this, but it could just be short. Immigrants are fine with me, illegal or legal, if they just get a job, learn English, and aren't criminals.

Besides annexing Mexico, which actually seems like a really good idea, I think a nice solution would be to let people in all day long, but if they screw up, they're gone. A no tolerance policy.

Incidentally, I also think it would be really great if American kids started being taught in Spanish first thing in kindergarten so that we could be bilingual like every other freaking country.

I always enjoy your political entries.

Thanks, Amy. I would say I mostly agree you with you. Immigration isn't really an issue when people get jobs, learn English, and assimilate to an acceptable degree. Population concerns would be the bigger concern. You're one of the few people who has ever agreed with me on annexation. :)
