Hunger
“Run faster! Come on!!!” The coach cheered his class on.
Minho can't help but to feel a little ignorant, for he was leading the tiring pact as always, running almost 5 laps ahead of them. He grins victoriously as he finishes his 20 laps first, and plops down onto the grass for a sip of water.
Jonghyun had transferred to his school for almost a month now. He was very popular, almost on par with Minho himself, charming all the girls with his heaven-sent vocals in music lessons, predominantly snagging the male solo for their school’s concert. He also had a peculiar sense of humor in him, which he used for tackling the guys. Speaking of Jonghyun…well he was sweating, as of now.
The vampire huffs as icy sweat formed on his forehead, which he wipes away quickly before anyone notices it. He was still on his 18th lap and was lagging behind the others, which was unusual for him, who was now dragging himself along the track for the sake of pride. Jonghyun swallows his saliva quickly, his throat getting dryer and dryer by the moment, his throat burning with thirst as an uninvited headache invaded his head. Control yourself, He thought. You can’t, definitely not here.
His eyes snap shut as he falls down uncontrollably, hitting the warm track.
“Jonghyun!” Minho cries as he jumps up from his spot, sprinting across the field to help the blonde up. Jonghyun winces as he examines his fresh cuts on his elbows and his temple, and grips onto Minho tightly as he feels a pang of pain in his left leg.
The coach blew his whistle and stopped the class, turning to the duo.
“You two, off the track. Minho, bring Jonghyun to the nurses office!!” Minho obliged willingly, and Jonghyun squeaks as Minho holds him up and carries him bridal style.
He buries his face into Minho’s torso, immediately regretting that when he felt Minho’s heartbeat beneath his kit, his sweat enhancing the temptation even more. His breathing quickens as he feels the blood running in and out from the ventricles of the brunette’s heart, his hunger eating away his stomach as he curled his fists to control his lust. Jonghyun shudders as Minho almost drops him, his lips ghosting over the other’s clothed chest. Biting harshly onto his tongue, he manages to croak a few scratchy words out.
“Min...n-not the nurse’s office…”
“But your wounds-“
“I-I’ll be o-k-kay.” He scrunches the last syllable of the word, trying to hold his breath for as long as he can, before he yells out in surprise as Minho whisks them into the P.E. storage room.
Jonghyun props up on his elbows as he was laid down on a crash mat with Minho towering over him worriedly. He grunts as falls back down onto his back, his hand darting up to sooth his dry burning throat as a throbbing pain registered its existence in his left leg. Minho seems to realize that something was wrong, and turns his head to him.
“When did you last drink, or... whatever?”
“F-four weeks ago.” He replies shakily, “I didn’t want to, you know, cheat on you or something...”
The taller of the two laughed out loud as the other looked at him menacingly.
“W-what? besides, I couldn’t have e-exactly ‘eat’ other students here, can I?”
Are you….hungry?”
Jonghyun nods frantically, his toffee eyes sparkling with want, then retires to a corner shamefully, hiding his face in his arms.
Minho felt touched by what the supposedly dangerous creature was trying to do, distancing himself to imprison his lust for blood. His heart stung when he saw brown, rusty liquid slithering out of the blonde’s wounds like young eels.
So that’s what Vampire blood looks like…when they’re hungry.
But what kept him watching was how much blood was flowing. It had ran down from Jonghyun’s elbows to his knees, creating a shallow pool on the crash mat below, and Minho’s eyes widened with horror as the substance slowly turned black from its source, noticing how Jonghyun was getting weaker by the minute, his little cave collapsing as his life’s blood ebbed away from him.
Minho couldn’t take it anymore. He didn’t know why he did it, or how he managed it, but he bit down hard on his right wrist, slapping his arm hard when the wound appeared to get the blood he needed desperately out of his body.
Jonghyun groans and curls up into a ball of rejection at the smell of blood, twitching as he fought against himself. Minho crawls on top of him, straddling him before forcing his bleeding arm to meet with Jonghyun’s quivering red lips, brushing it teasingly around the corners of the other’s mouth. He watched as the vampire whimpers helplessly at the inviting treat, Minho’s blood crimsoning his lips even more.
“M-min…I c-
Jonghyun pulls away, groaning as Minho holds him in place, kissing him after smearing his lips with his own blood, passing it into Jonghyun’s mouth as he sucked onto the blonde’s tongue and swiping the roof of his trembling mouth to embed the aroma of his blood into him.
Jonghyun gasps for air as the scent of Minho’s blood diffuses up his nose and down his throat, invading him like fiery red ants bombarding an elephant. He chokes as he tries to avoid Minho’s tongue with his fangs, gripping tightly on Minho’s biceps.
Minho smiles satisfactorily when the other gags, and gently pushes his arm towards Jonghyun’s mouth again, the vampire succumbing to him this time round.
The familiar burning pain hit him once again, this time sprinting up from his wrist and spreading across his chest, dusting it a peachy pink. He distracts himself by throwing Jonghyun’s scraped elbow above his head, licking softly at the leaking wound and down the vampire’s icy arms before planting kisses along the other’s prominent collarbones, poking at Jonghyun’s throbbing Adam’s apple as he feasts on his blood.
Minho winces as Jonghyun moves his hand away and flips them over. The vampire straddles him and smiles darkly before he dives down and pierces his pregnable neck with his ashen fangs, spilling fresh liven blood into his mouth. He moans as the pain boils his blood and his heart races in its cage, delivering more blood into Jonghyun’s waiting mouth. Jonghyun pulls out for a moment and kisses him apologetically on the mouth, probing his tongue pass the brunette’s swollen lips. Minho whimpers at the loss when Jonghyun’s tongue travels down his jaw line and back to the open wound, his animalism kicking into him once more as a carnivorous flicker lightens his chocolate eyes.
The football player blinks rapidly as his vision starts to blur again, the basketballs and the netball stands swirling into a giant structure into his eyes, the trampolines and badminton bats merging into a blank wallpaper.
“J-jong..I’m…”
He pants helplessly as Jonghyun continued to attack his throat, pinning him down on the mat now that he regained his strength. Through his eyes he saw that the cuts on Jonghyun’s elbow and forehead faded away like old pen marks on paper. Was it an illusion?? He asks himself as the pain numbs his thoughts, his eyesight finally darkening into a page of darkness, his consciousness falling down into a black hole.
“Minho…Minho….” Minho wakes up to Jonghyun looming over him, his face centimeters apart from his. He smiles breathily and cups Jonghyun’s cheeks breathily, pulling him down for a messy kiss. Minho sighs as the vampire breaks it, looking down at him apologetically.
“I’m so sorry Minho, I…I couldn’t control myself. I was too….”
“Hungry? Ravenous? Predatory?? Yea.” Minho replies with a chuckle, hugging the other to his chest.
They returned to the track right before the lesson ended, with Jonghyun walking perfectly fine despite him injuring his leg previously. The class stared at him in amazement, and all the girls surrounded him immediately, cooing worriedly. Jonghyun flashes them his signature smile when they asked him where his wounds were.
“Oh, it’s nothing. Just that the nurse did a ridiculously good job.”
