Not counting school visits, book fairs and the like, I took part in about sixty writing-related presentations or workshops in 2012. Most of them were held in public libraries. I had a great time at OCL (Berkeley branch) last night. Despite the heavy downpour, which started a half hour before my presentation began, we had a good-sized crowd. I received a lovely email from someone in the audience this morning. The heading was 'Your Awesome Talk at the Library', so I knew I had at least one satisfied customer ( Read more... )

I had a great time at the New Jersey Library Association conference on Tuesday and Wednesday. I met lots of nice people, some of whom I knew via email or telephone only, so it was good to put faces to names. I've got plenty of new contacts for NJAN, and other writerly events. I had a lovely time yesterday at the Orange Scholars Academy, in Orange County, NJ. I met several great writers, including Artie Bennett, author of the excellent children's book, Poopendous!

I've got a busy couple of days ahead of me. In addition to the usual chauffering my son to and from college, I get to take him to his X-Ray appointment this afternoon.

After I drop him off at home, I'll be galloping down Route 18 for tonight's NJAN panel/Q&A at East Brunswick Library, 2 Jean Walling Civic Center  East Brunswick, NJ 08816-3529
