Out of all the Avengers comic books I've read (not that very many, I admit), Loki hadn't been the villain in any of them. I've always liked the Director of SHIELD (even when he and the heroes didn't see eye-to-eye), but I especially love him as portrayed by Samuel Jackson, because he imbues the character with a whole new level of bad-assery and awesomeness. 
And he *has* to be badass, considering how many superheroes he has to manage! :P

I wasn't going to draw the Hulk. Bruce Banner, yes, the Hulk, no - and not just because the thought of trying to get skin to look right while being green terrified me. Can't say he ever held my interest outside of the Avengers, but within the team he just fits, and is pretty awesome.

Also, I was upset when Chris Evans got the part, because he'd already been the Human Torch - quite well, too - and you can't have the same actor portray two characters in the same universe, it messes with my sense of continuity! But ( Read more... )

I didn't know much about her from the comics beyond the fact that she was a Russian assassin that defected to SHIELD, and that she and Hawkeye had been together at some point - I had only ever seen her briefly here and there.

But now that I've seen her in the films, I absolutely *love* her. The woman has no powers whatsoever and yet can kick ass ( Read more... )

I think the Avengers' Thor was my first ever 'contact' with the Norse Gods. It was instant love, and I've loved him to bits ever since.

(also, gah, it hurt to discover that, as good as I am in drawing muscles with regular pencils, I apparently need *lots* of work doing the same with coloured ones)

Hawkeye has been one of my favourite Avengers since I used to borrow my cousin's comic books. I think it's his fault that I've had a thing for archers ever since.

I am *extremely* pleased with how he turned out!

 Leslie Nielsen has died. I just found out. I haven't felt this sad since... well, since Heath Ledger.

I'll miss him. He was one awesome comedian. The guy just rocked.

Rest In Peace, mr. Nielsen.
