Bob Fisher (1953-2014)
Bob died almost exactly a week ago tonight. He was a fellow lawyer and single gay male at St. Michael's, either of which would have made us sympathetic with each other's station in life. We didn't particularly hang out with each other. I'm not sure why not. I think he may have been committed to sobriety, which would have marginalized him even more than his sexuality, IMO.
Nevertheless, he projected great warmth and conviviality. We acolyted together and it was he I wrote about during our stint serving at Januzs's funeral nearly eight years ago:
