Pumpkin has learned to catch birds. She brings them in alive and lets them go to zoom around the house. I just got done catching one and releasing it back outside. She got one yesterday too, but I wasn't around for the fun ( Read more... )

There's a red glow filtering in through the curtains this morning. It's from the sun, shining through the thick smoke currently hanging over our little town because once again, our hills are on fire. Pumpkin is getting bigger every day, but she's still very much kitten sized. Pippin feels like a ton of bricks by comparison. The two of them are getting along wonderfully. Pippin and Pumpkin were playing tonight. Actually playing! They were chasing each other back and forth around the house and Pippin kept making these happy chirping noises (he makes the same noise when he's playing chase games with me).
