epiphany en route to the library
Not ten minutes ago I was walking to the library and I was looking at the building and for some reason thought to myself that this is the library at my university. I'ts sort of a strange thing to say to oneself, but it made me realize that I'm in college, I'm actually here, taking classes, using their library, sitting on their benches, eating in their restaurants, and it's amazing! It hadn't really hit me until today that I'm not in high school anymore, that I'm never going back (even though I want to sometimes) and that this is where I'm going to be for the next 4 years of my life. I guess I was distracted by other things this whole first month, but I suppose it was just all transition period and now I'm awake to my surroundings for the first time; I honestly feel like I'm walking around with really wide eyes now (maybe that's why everyone's been looking at me funny)(but not really).
