I closed on the townhouse today =)
I am SO excited. It has been a very long day. I took today off work and went to the title office this morning at 9am. Paula, one of my oldest and dearest friends was there handling my mortgage and my realtor Stephanie who I adore. It had to be the most fun closing ever. We were making jokes and being silly the whole time. I was sweating like crazy, maybe because I was signing my life away. LOL. I took Paula out for brunch after at La Madelaine and then headed to Kirklands and bought a cute quilt rack. Then at Circuit city I bought a TV antenna for HDTV stations. Then it was off to Home Depot where I bought a new flat glass top electric range, two nice rugs, paint, tools, rake, shoves, water hose, new massaging shower head, new ceiling fax, concrete stain and sealer, and various other things. I need to not spend anymore, that was a thousand bucks or more already today. I need to lock my new Home Depot credit card away from myself.
Thank God I got another promotion at work last week so I can pay for things. I am NOT going to be taking calls or doing customer service anymore. I will be doing transactions for the more tech side of the electric company, like a liaison between us and the poles and wires companies. I was so thankful because I was worried about money getting tight, but with the raise the new place will pretty much even out.
I am hoping the guy I have been seeing will be kind enough to help me out the next couple of weekends with painting, planting grass in the back yard, and staining the concrete floors in the bathrooms. In two weeks I have the fridge, range, washer and dryer delivered, so I need to get as much done as I can before then. I am SO freakin sleepy, I'm gonna eat and hit the bed.
OHHH... and if anyone in Dallas has not had Sunday brunch at Blue Mesa grill you HAVE to go.
