It was hard, and it was sluggish, and I'll admit that there was a nap somewhere--but, all in all, I think I pulled off an admirable effort in actually working on the first day back from a long holiday. I actually want to get done with the bulk of whatever's on my plate before NaNo starts, so that was a big motivator. I'm still procrastinating ( Read more... )

Did I ever mention I was trying to learn Dvorak? Keywords: was trying.

After learning half the 18 or so keys, I lapsed. And watched friends report increasing word counts (of the entire keyboard, I'm assuming) of 40 wpm, 50 wpm, 60 wpm. I am envious. Did you know that at one point, I had a certified wpm of 110, with a 98% accuracy? (And in case you' ( Read more... )

I've been in bed with acute food poisoning. Still trying to find my bearings, but the world seems to be moving along just fine without me. Would like very much to go back to sleep, but the office might not like that.

Last weekend, we had our first face to face (F2F) meetup of sporkers in Toronto. Obviously, as I "inconveniently" *winks* live on the other side of the world, I wasn't apart of it.
