sadness
One of my kids lost her brother this weekend. (Well, technically she's one of my ex-kids, but she's from my first group of 1st graders so she'll always be mine!) Her brother was one of my kids too, but for a very short amount of time ... and he had some difficulties so he was not always living at home and attending our school for the 6 months I had him. He dealt with a lot of things over the years, but from the newspaper articles it sounds like he was actually trying to diffuse this argument, and someone stabbed him. Very sad.
