Well, as noted in this post of yesterday, I had a major glitch with my Dell laptop running Linux Ubuntu, and lost all of my sound and multimedia capabilities.

After some debate and indecision on the matter, I had decided not to buy a second-hand laptop of any kind, and instead purchase a new laptop.

It has now been four days since I had a laptop on which to exercise my creative writing.

I am sad, I am depressed. In short, I am not a happy camper.

My laptop died. Yes, my IBM Thinkpad 390 has died. I've had this laptop for around 10 years, and the laptop hasn't had a battery to make it really portable for a good four or five years.
