Just got home from my appointment at the Diabetes Clinic.
To be honest, the news and the test results that I had done on the 12th of March came back not too good, but the doctor and I spoke about everything that's going on, and he told me that the results as they were are probably largely due to stress, the illness with this ear/neck/chest business (more on that in a moment) that's been going on for some time, but also my eating habits of the past little while. (And no, I'm not going to provide the test results here for folks to talk about.)
When it came to my health, the doctor actually checked my chest and ear, talked to me about the symptoms that I'm suffering from, and told me that my ear looked somewhat inflamed among other things, and that he thinks I have a middle ear or inner ear infection. He decided to put me on an antibiotic, Biaxin, which apparently does a good job on this particular kind of infection, and went with a relatively strong dose of the antibiotic, twice a day. We'll see what happens with this antibiotic, and whether it makes me sick to my stomach or not. He also gave me a prescription for a nose spray, and said that it should help with my head, and to take Tylenol as needed.
Once the infection and the illness is done with, the doctor said we can come back and look at the diabetes issues again in about three months.
Anyway, time for a cup of hot tea and a couple of biscuits, and then a lie down before supper.
