Getting Ready for Friday Night Gaming

Oct 20, 2023 18:00

Today has been a somewhat atypical October day here in Ottawa. The day has been dominated with sunny periods with some cloud cover, and a bit of rain here and there. The temperature today hit a balmy (for this time of year) 16oC, with a bit of humidity in the air that didn't affect the humidex at all. I've been feeling under the weather since I had my flu shot on Saturday, and spent part of the day napping. I still have a bit of a headache, but that's been par for the course of late. Nothing much to say about my right arm, elbow and shoulder, other than the bruising in the elbow has finally started to disappear, my whole arm hurts, and I can't write or type for very long periods without the pain intensifying. Still can't lift much weight with the right arm, for that matter.

I'll be gaming with the Friday night gaming group this evening; the players should be arriving within the next hour or so. I wasn't sure whether I should game tonight or not, but I'm hoping that it distracts me enough from other things going on with me. As long as the Friday night players do most of the heavy, and not-so-heavy, lifting. While I still feel out of sorts, I'm going to game this evening and see how it goes.

The Friday night gamers will be continuing on with their Rivers of London: The Roleplaying Game campaign this evening. They're quite looking forward to playing this evening. I'm quite looking forward to the game tonight. :)

In the meantime, I need to go upstairs and make something hot for supper.

Have a good evening, folks. :)
