Today is the birthday of
Paul Levitz.
To those who follow my
Legion of Super-Heroes blog entries, Paul Levitz is an American comic book writer, editor, and executive. His oeuvres in the comics industry are quite extensive, as he's been around for a long time (check out this
list of his works. He spent 47 years with DC Comics, helping to turn it around creatively in the 80s, and he was one of those creators, but he is best known and will always be treasured by me for his work on the Legion of Super-Heroes titles from 1977-1979 and from 1981-1989. From the Earthwar to the Great Darkness Saga to the marriage of Saturn Girl and Lightning Lad to the Universo Project, there are just so many magnificent stories that Levitz crafted during his time on the Legion, and I am so grateful for his work in that regard.
Paul Levitz turns 67 years of age today, and I am soooo grateful to him for his work in the comics industry. Here's wishing Paul Levitz a Happy Birthday and a great year in whatever endeavours he pursues.
